Our Profit Builders Day Luncheon will feature a keynote from Jim, along with a hot buffet. Well known in the landscape industry for her role as the Eastern Ontario representative of the Farm Safety association, Sheila spoke at our November Chapter meeting about the vital importance of striving to achieve work-life balance... and received rave reviews. In fact, several of those who’ve heard her speak about it claim that by embracing just a few of the concepts she shared has literally changed their lives.
So we thought we’d bring her back to speak with a larger potential audience about the benefits of work-life balance for both the employer and his/her employees... and why focusing on that balance is something no one should take lightly.

2:00 – 3:00 – “Pruning for Landscapers Redux”

Back by popular demand and updated for 2010… Bill’s session will cover the golden rules of pruning trees, shrubs, vines and fruit trees, as well as pruning the young tree (1 - 5 years). Learn when and why you're pruning, as well as choosing the right tools for the job.
You'll hear about tree growth and structure, different pruning practices such as dead-wooding, thinning, crown-reduction, corrective pruning and pollarding, as well as how and when to make the cuts. A must-see seminar for maintenance and garden builders, lead hands and crews.
